LABRADORITE
Labradorite is the plagioclase feldspar most commonly faceted as a gemstone. It is also known as Spectrolite. The colours of Labradorite include orange, yellow, colourless and red. However the most beautiful Labradorite is that which shows a play of colour or ‘schiller’ with intense flashes of blue or green.
Labradorite can be sourced from igneous & metamorphic rocks in Labrador (Canada), Finland, Norway & Russia.
We stock faceted Labradorite which is pale grey in colour with beautiful blue green flashes of light play when tilted back & forwards.
