ROSE QUARTZ

Pink or peach coloured quartz is known as Rose Quartz.

Its colour is believed to be due to small amounts of titanium contained within. Crystals of rose quartz are quite rare & it is usually found as large pieces.

It is usually cloudy in appearance & often cracked because of its brittle nature. The colour can fade with exposure to large amounts of light.

Rose Quartz can be sourced from Madagascar (best quality) & Brazil whilst other areas this gemstone is mined include Scotland, Russia, United States & Spain.
