ITEMS PURCHASED FROM OUR SITE

All our jewellery is individually handmade, not mass produced and as such there will be slight variances between pieces. For example, whilst we endeavour to make bracelets of the same style we reserve the right to substitute some of the beads or toggles for others of equal quality and value than those displayed in the photograph.You can be assured the overall effect will be just as beautiful. This is especially true of our 'Commissions' taken against the photographs as materials may be unavailable to exactly match. For example some of the Bali Silver bead designs may be discontinued since the original piece was made. If any major substitution is needed such as a specific toggle design then we will e-mail you first for your approval before we comission the piece with a photograph of the intended substitution and if no compromise can be agreed then a refund will be issued.

Also please note that many of the materials we use are also individually handmade such as the Hilltribe individually embossed and cut linked chain, the Bali Silver Beads are individually crafted by silver artisans, the gemstones we use are natural materials and as such subject to natural variances in colour and cut. The glass lampwork beads are also handcrafted in small quantites and again subject to slight variance.

All in all whilst we try and match closely our materials for each project, for the reasons given above, no two pieces will ever be exactly identical.

Representations in the photographs

In addition to the comments above, please note that whilst every effort has been made to closely reproduce the colours of the pieces of jewellery we are limited to how the products are represented in the photographs displayed on your computer screen. Also as a description of the bead sizes used (to give an idea of overall effect ) please view our 'Materials' section in the menu on the home page. As a rough guide the bracelets retailing at £64.95 are substantial pieces and have an approximate weight of 50g using bead sizes from approximately 4mm up to approximately 18mm.

Suitability

The handcrafted jewellery items are not suitable for small children as they comprise of small parts which could represent a choking hazard.

Durability

All our pieces are designed to sustain normal light wear. The individual links are generally not soldered so will not sustain unreasonable forces not associated with jewellery wear. For this reason we will not accept back chains simply beacuse of a snapped link as this would suggest considerable force not consistant with simply wearing a necklace or bracelet. The wires we use are 24g sterling silver which can bend as silver is pliable. SO we suggest that suitable care should be taken whilst wearing, as if the wires are bent and re-bent over a period of time then a stress fracture could occur and the wire will break.

Returns

All our items are carefully handcrafted, checked, packed and photographed prior to dispatch with the utmost of care. However if you are not fully satisfied with your purchase you may return it to us unworn, in the original packaging, in a re-saleable quality within 7 days after receipt for a refund of the purchase price minus a 3.5% handling charge (charged to us by Worldpay for processing the refund) minus the original postage costs. We do strongly recommend that you choose an appropriate means of postage to cover the cost of the item as lost items cannot be refunded. However, if the item is returned as a result of a descriptive error or poor workmanship on our part we will give a full refund including all the appropriate postage costs.

We value you as our customer and we will endeavour to address any issues which arise through our products. We encourage you to tell us if something is wrong as if we do not know then we cannot fix it.

Exceptions to Returns

We are unable to process returns relating to earrings or any other form of intimate body jewellery because of the close contact it has with the body except for defects in manufacturing.

Extended Guarantee

Bracelets, necklaces and earrings are guaranteed against faulty workmanship for 3 months from the date of dispatch. This is in addition to your statutory rights.

Cleaning you jewellery

Silver by its very nature will tarnish over a period of time due to exposure of salts on the skin, perfume, deodorants & air pollutants. We do not recommend the use of any 'silver dip' as over a period of time it will cause marks on the silver. We must also point out that some of the gemstones we use are porous for example freshwater pearls and opals and the use of certain cleaning products will spoil their appearance. We recommend that you use a special silver jewellery cleaning cloth which will clean your jewellery and guard against excessive tarnishing.

Changes to our policies

We reserve the right to change our site policies without prior notice. Changes will apply to orders received after this time.
